A track from a posthumous Michael Jackson album being produced by Timbaland popped up online this weekend.
A 67-second snippet of ‘Slave To The Rhythm’ (unrelated to the Grace Jones track of the same name) turned up on Soundcloud on Friday (March 7) but had been taken down by Sunday; however, a shorter clip can still be heard here.
Timbaland’s track differs from a previous version which featured vocals by Justin Bieber.
The super-producer confirmed last September that he was working on an album of Jackson songs recorded before the pop star’s death in 2009. At the time Timbaland said the album would “complete my legacy” and suggested that the first single would be a track called ‘Chicago’.
Meanwhile, Timbaland has also been working on new Jodeci album, the R&B group’s first since 1995. [via NME]
