Jay Electronica — whose rap career is the equivalent of Dr. Dre’s long-promised Detox album — returned after a long absence last week with ‘better in tune w the infinite’, a freestyle over Ryuichi Sakamoto’s ‘Bibo No Aozora’.

Another freestyle has appeared online, and this time the London-based rapper has brought more firepower along in the form of mentor Jay Z. Over Soulja Boy’s ‘We Made It’ instrumental (or technically, Drake’s Eastbound and Down-sampling freestyle over it), Electronica takes on “The Devil, the haters and the bloggers” in a confrontational meditation on the history of slavery.
