’90s post-rock progenitors Slint will shore up their legacy with a deluxe reissue of their classic 1991 opus Spiderland next month.
Arriving on Touch and Go on April 15, the box set of the remastered album features new artwork and a generous bundle of 14 unheard demos and outtakes, one of which, ‘Pam’, they’ve now shared via Soundcloud.
Tagged as a ‘rough mix’, the track is as tightly wound and electrifying as you’d expect from a Spiderland outtake, but has an appealing looseness to it too.
Hear it here, via Pitchfork.
FACT’s John Calvert cornered Slint’s Britt Walford earlier this year to find out how AC/DC and Philip Glass influenced Spiderland.
