A Hyperdub 10th birthday showcase leads the latest announcement.
Poland’s Tauron Nowa Muzyka festival has added a host of impressive names for this year’s knees-up set against the industrial backdrop of Katowice coalmine.
The event kicks off with an opening concert in a Katowice church featuring Chet Faker and Sorry Boys, while the main programme is dominated by the Hyperdub label’s 10th birthday celebrations, with Kode9 bringing Laurel Halo (pictured), Scratcha DVA, Ikonika and Cooly G along for the party.
Also new on the bill are Norwegian avant-jazz collective Jaga Jazzist, who will perform a special collaboration with the local Aukso Orchestra, and Copenhagen pop trio WhoMadeWho.
The new additions join previously announced acts including Innervisions boss Dixon, German veterans Mouse on Mars, Hessle Audio’s Ben UFO and innovative R&B newcomer Kelela.
The festival takes place from August 21-24 in a disused coalmine in Katowice. Two-day and three-day tickets are now available from just £30 while tickets last – head to the official website, RA or Festicket to grab one.
