Border Community producer packs up his synths and heads out on the road.
After revealing details of his second album Wysing Forest, due on June 23, Norfolk-born analogue addict Luke Abbott has lined up a string of live dates for the summer.
As well headline dates in London, Totnes, Glasgow and Manchester (with support from Erased Tapes’ Rival Consoles), he’ll open for ex-Battles musician Tyondai Braxton’s collaborative HIVE performance at London’s Oval Space in May (which is part of the Barbican’s Explorations: the Sound of Nonesuch Records celebrating the 50th anniversary of the American label from 2nd – 30th May).
Abbott also recently went back to The Wysing Arts Centre in Cambridgeshire (where the album was made) to record a live, improvised interpretation of first cut ‘Amphis’ – watch the performance below and admire his taste in crocheted homewares.
Tour dates:
May 20 – London, Tyondai Braxton’s HIVE performance at Oval Space
June 21 – Totnes South Devon Arts Centre
June 23 – Glasgow, Mono
June 25 – Manchester, Kraak Gallery
June 26 – London, St. Pancras Church
