We’ve been keeping a close eye on Mister Saturday Night for a while now.

The New York City club night started back in 2009 and quickly developed a cult following, so it was only natural that it should blossom into a label. The crew have been cutting and pasting stunning under-the-radar dance 12″s since 2012 now, and this summer they’re finally releasing their first proper album.

Entitled Brothers & Sisters (cunningly named after the killer General Ludd 12″ of the same name), it’s a bumper two CD compilation of the label’s finest moments so far, combining music that’s been specially recorded for the album and also music that’s so far only been available on vinyl. Anyone would think they’ve had this planned all along.

There are tracks provided from Archie Pelago, Hank Jackson, Keita Sano, Alex Burkat, Antony Naples, Dark Sky, Lumigraph, General Ludd and more, so if you’ve got any interest in dusty, sun-bleached house music then we reckon you’re in the right place. There’s a damn good reason why Mister Saturday Night made it to FACT’s list of 10 labels to watch in 2014, and Brothers & Sisters is pretty much the best starting point you could ask for.

Brothers & Sisters will be released on June 23/24 on 2CD and vinyl via Mister Saturday Night.
