The type of musician-booze pairing we can get behind.
Last year, Dogfish Head celebrated the brewery’s 18-month expansion by inviting FACT mixer Julianna Barwick to perform in the new “cathedral-like” 200-barrel brewhouse.
The performance proved to be the start of a collaborative relationship: Barwick then built a four-song EP around the sounds of the brewing process, weaving machine noise into her vocal tapestries, while Dogfish brewed a special beer with the musician.
Rosabi is described as “a well-hopped Imperial Pale Ale” with “a touch of red rice and wasabi.” The brewery will run 1,000 cases of six-750ml bottles with a 10-inch vinyl of the EP, which will also be out digitally via Dead Oceans on June 3. Steam ‘Meet You At Midnight’ below.
