The French-Swiss collective readies an EP by a shadowy Algerian producer.

Currently based in Istanbul, El Mahdy Jr. crafts sampled-based electronic music. After a pair of releases on Boomarm Nation, the producer will release Gasba Grime, an EP where Eastern melodies and rhythms clash with Western grime and hip-hop with gnawing, hypnotic results.

Along with four originals (‘Crack-Addicted Belly Dancer’ is already up for track title of the year), the EP is rounded out by a remix by Blackest Ever Black Killing Sound (the trio of Vessel, El Kid, and Jabu).
