Next Black Hippy album will be the follow up to Control System.
Following tensions between Ab-Soul and his label Top Dawg Entertainment over delays for the release of the rapper’s second album, it’s been confirmed that These Days… would drop June 24 – a date chosen by fans in a poll via the label’s Twitter account.
Speaking to Billboard, Ab-Soul confirmed the album would feature Danny Brown, Mac Miller and fellow Black Hippy members Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q – last seen complaining that the weed in Europe wasn’t up to par. The majority of the album was recorded at Miller’s home studio in California.
There’s also a short video for the single, ‘Stigmata’, in which Ab-Soul plays Jesus Christ dragging a cross through the desert. [Via CoS]
