Located in a disused coalmine, Tauron Nowa Muzyka is one of Poland’s most intriguing music festivals.
The latest addition to the impressive line-up is German composer and pianist Nils Frahm, whose 2013 album Spaces was hailed far and wide as one of his finest – read FACT’s review. He’ll deliver the finale of this year’s festival at the old Silesian Porcelain Factory.
Additionally the festival have announced Carbon Project Atlantic, a presentation of “uncompromising Polish artists moving in the areas of experimental and electronic music” including Kirk, Piotr Kurek, Lutto Lento, Micromelancolié and Wilhelm Bras among others.
Elswhere on the line-up you’ll find a 10th anniversary showcase from Hyperdub (featuring Kode9, Laurel Halo, Cooly G, Scratcha DVA and Ikonika) plus appearances from Kelis, Jaga Jazzist, The Field, Ben UFO, Kelela, CLARK, Dixon, Mouse on Mars and more.
The festival takes place in Katowice from August 21-24 – for information and tickets, head here.
