Lone – R&S’ resident boss of the gloss – unveils his latest LP. 

After a few albums’ worth of woozy head-nod in the BoC mould, the Manchester producer cracked a whole new market with 2012’s hi-res, house-leaning Galaxy Garden. That fascination with day-glo textures and rave nostalgia persisted on last year’s Airglow Fires single, and it continues on Reality Testing – his fifth LP proper, and his second for R&S. It’s something of a shuffle back to his beat music background, full of loping breaks and hip-hop production tics.
