Another one for your summer playlist via the 4Hero producer’s forthcoming release.

Dennis ‘Dego‘ McFarlane joins FaltyDL’s recently launched Blueberry Records for an EP this summer, the latest in a shower of new releases and reissues from the breaks veteran.

Following a collaborative 12″ with Kaida Tatham on Eglo Records this year, and with rumours of a release on Sound Signature coming soon, as JunoPlus reports, the Nuts! EP sees Dego carving out a comfortably funky, boogie-inflected vibe that sits neatly between those two labels, as heard on the windows-down groove of the lead track, which you can hear below. The EP is due in the coming weeks.

That release also follows Berceuse Heroique’s recent reissue of ‘This Ain’t Tom & Jerry’, the broken beat classic McFarlane put out under his Cousin Cockroach alias.
