Dave Chappelle appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this friday to discuss his upcoming nine show run at New York’s Radio City Music Hall that will feature Nas as well as The Roots.

In between details of how he met The Roots, including stories of the Electric Ladyland days when the Soulquarians were recording D’Angelo, Erikah Badu and others in the legendary studio (see also our recent neo soul feature), he touched on Prince‘s usage of his impersonation for the ‘Breakfast Can Wait’ cover.

He kept the best for the end though, with the story of how he met Kanye, complete with impersonation – trust us it’s worth watching all six minutes of it to get to that.
