Lana Del Rey, as Lana Del Rey is wont to do, caused uproar on the internet last week when she claimed in a Guardian interview that she “wish[es] she was dead already.”
Del Rey claimed that she had been tricked into giving the quotes by leading questions; the article’s writer Tim Jonze then responded with audio of the interview (Del Rey, also, amusingly confused him with fellow Guardian writer Alexis Petridis).
Yesterday, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain responded to Del Rey’s quote on Twitter. Read them below, and read Chris Kelly’s review of Del Rey’s new album Ultraviolence here.
