Label co-founder Ryan Merry returns to Icee Hot for ‘Only Now / Snake Box’.

Under his Ghosts on Tape alias, Merry inaugurated Icee Hot’s club night-to-label expansion back in 2012. Next week, he’ll return to the label for the third time with his ‘Only Now / Snake Box’ EP.

As always, the producer exorcises demons with percussion, pushing the drum-heavy grind of ‘Only Now’ into overdrive on the nearly melody-less ‘Snake Box’. Rounding out the release is an otherworldly remix of ‘Only Now’ by Chicago duo Innerspace Halflife that spaces out the original. Stream the EP below; it’s due out on August 8.
