An ungoogleable purveyor of hardware techno turns up on the Ghostly sublabel.
The producer known as Patricia first caught our ear when Opal Tapes reissued his Body Issues cassette, “a spooked collection of techno from the Terrence Dixon school of thaumaturgy.”
The Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based talent follows that release with the Side Piece EP, a four-track collection of tape-hissing techno that’s kissed with touches of acid and ambience. The EP is rounded out by a jacking remix of the lead track by Ghostly stalwart Tadd Mullinix (aka Dabrye) under his JTC moniker.
Listen to the rubbery and warped ‘Drip Dawn’ below. Side Piece is due out on August 25 via Ghostly’s Spectral Sound imprint and is available to pre-order.
