Four tracks of “love, death, modernity and automobile crashes”.

Californian techno producer Silent Servant has teamed up with Oliver Ho’s Broken English Club for a split EP on Cititrax, an offshoot of Veronica Vasicka’s Minimal Wave label.

The four tracks on the Ballardian-sounding Violence And Divinity see Juan Mendez’s post-punk and EBM influences dovetail neatly with Ho’s own noisy, industrial leanings on “themes of love, death, modernity and automobile crashes,” as the label states.

Listen to previews on the Minimal Wave website. The record will be available in a limited edition pressing of 999 copies, including 500 pressed on black inside milky clear vinyl, on September 30.

Silent Servant’s FACT mix is a thing of ageless beauty, featuring the likes of DAF, Led Er Est, Cabaret Voltaire and In Aeternam Vale, and his recent mix for NTS Radio explored similarly dark and obscure territory – both highly recommended. [via JunoPlus]

Tracklist:

A1 Silent Servant – Speed And Violence
A2 Silent Servant – Cut Unconscious
B1 Broken English Club – Divinity
B2 Broken English Club – Delays
