Caribou has cracked the UK top ten for the first time. 

After several years working under his Daphni alias, Dan Snaith returned as Caribou last month releasing Our Love, the follow-up to 2010′s Swim.

Snaith has reached unprecedented heights with his latest effort, this week entering the UK album chart in position number eight, his highest-charting entry in the UK to date. That is the same weekly chart position reached by Aphex Twin’s Syro last month.

According to FACT’s review of the album, “Caribou’s fourth record, Our Love, is his most intimate yet. That tension – between longing for structure and revelling in pure emotion – is here a guiding force in not just musical arrangement, but in capturing all the frayed edges of a relationship.”
