The Internet’s favorite Kickstarter surpasses its goal.

As part of El-P and Killer Mike’s ridiculous RTJ2 roll-out, the duo offered to remake the album in full using only cat noises — for $40,000. Because this is 2014, a fan set up a Kickstarter to make Meow the Jewels a reality.

With 12 days to go, the Kickstarter has surpassed its $40,000 goal ($46,530 and counting), which means El-P and his enlisted collaborators — Just Blaze, Zola Jesus, Baauer, Alchemist, and more — have some work to do.

RTJ2 will be released on October 27/28 via Nas’s Mass Appeal label as a free download.
