In Joe Muggs’ recent ambient round-up, one of several 2014 albums he examined was Sebastian Mullaert and Eitan Reiter’s Reflections of Nothingness.
Released on Tokyo label Mule Musiq, Muggs described it as “more human” than many of 2014’s ambient records, and “the only album in this round-up with any significant beats, being shot through with veins of slowed-down acid house and kosmische arpeggiator and primitive drum machine action.” Juxtaposing warm ambience with the kind of snow-capped beats native to some of the best Dial records, it’s seriously seduced us in recent weeks, and we’re premiering the full stream of Reflections of Nothingness below. It’s available to buy here.
