The multi-monikered Dave Huismans releases his fourth album as 2562 this week.

For the past few years the Hague producer has been concentrating on his other alias, A Made Up Sound, but he returns to his formerly dubstep-focused moniker on The New Today, released on his own label When In Doubt.

The album was presented as a live audiovisual performance at ADE last week and now Resident Advisor have a full stream – on first listen we can vouch for its satisfyingly deep (and pleasingly unpredictable) techno business.

Huisman stepped up for a FACT mix as 2562 way back in 2009, and it’s a time capsule well worth revisiting. For more in that vein, last year Pearson Sound put together a 28-minute mix of tracks by 2562, A Made Up Sound and Huismans’ other alias Dogdaze.
