Sweet treats from the London scene stalwart.

Mr. Beatnick, producer, DJ, NTS host and writer of this parish, will release his first original material of the year next month on Tief, the label arm of the Corsica Studios club night.

The Marshmallows EP follows Nick Wilson’s essential Synthetes trilogy, which appeared on Don’t Be Afraid in three annual doses before being compiled onto a full-length last year. The new four-track EP is due for release at the end of November and features three original tracks and a remix from Melbourne producer Francis Inferno Orchestra.

Wilson also moonlights as FACT’s resident Sun Ra expert, and earlier this year he marked the space jazz pioneer’s centenary with a special two-hour mix and an interview with a Sun Ra reissue specialist. Take a tip from his FACT mix from 2013 too. [via JunoPlus]
