Could Drake’s follow-up to the acclaimed So Far Gone mixtape be just around the corner?

It’s been widely speculated that Drake’s next album – entitled Views from the 6 is set for a Spring 2015 release, but apart from a few leaked tracks (blame hackers, apparently) we’ve heard little else. That is, until now.

Toronto Raptors player DeMar DeRozan spilled the beans last night in an NBA TV interviewer, and while talking about Drake’s role as the team’s global ambassador, gave away a juicy piece of new information.

“I talked to him the other night, actually he said he wanted to give me his mixtape that come out in January,” DeRozan stated, hinting that that the follow-up to his breakthrough 2009 tape So Far Gone will be out in the new year. [via Stereogum]
