The R&B singer had a rough weekend in Las Vegas.
According to TMZ, The Weeknd was arrested Saturday in Las Vegas for punching a cop. The singer (real name Abel Tesfaye) was involved in a fight inside the Cromwell Hotel around 4:20 AM.
In attempting to break up the fight, a cop pulled Tesfaye into an elevator, after which he allegedly punched the cop in the head. He was subsequently taken to jail for battery of a protected person but was bailed out and promptly left Vegas according to his Instagram feed — see below.
