The freshly formed R&S duo compile a long-player.
Skull Disco chief Appleblim and fellow Bristol-based producer Second Storey (previously known as Al Tourettes) recently paired up for a project under the alias ALSO.
After bonding over “a shared love of Detroit machine rhythms and sleek electronic grooves,” Laurie Osborne and Alec Storey released their EP01 on R&S in November, followed by this month’s EP02 and EP03. Wasting no time, the duo have decided to collate all three releases as a full-length album, bulked up by brand new track ‘Blyford Bass’, which you can listen to on Soundcloud (the embedded track is coming soon).
As the label explains, these “heavy studio/live loose jam sessions” were inspired by “classic R&S alumni from Aphex Twin to Blawan and the Detroit axis of Carl Craig and Juan Atkins”. The album’s out on April 6.
