The folks over at Pulse Radio have dug up an odd bit of dance music history, sharing a collection of amazing vintage DJ trading cards from 1996.

According to veteran DJ Mr. C, the cards were issued as a set by German imprint Studio !K7, intended as a promotional tool for Mr. C’s X-MIX: The Electronic Storm mix CD.

The cards come complete with various baseball card-like statistics, including average BPM, record collection size and total number of DJ bookings.

DJs featured in the collection include Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, DJ Hell, Dave Clarke, Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath.
