Chance The Rapper read for the role of Dr. Dre.

In a recent conversation with comedian Hannibal Buress for Interview Magazine, Chance The Rapper revealed that he auditioned for a role in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton.

“I read for Dre, but it wasn’t in God’s plan,” said the Chicago native.

Chance also said that his upcoming solo debut is “very much so a Beyoncé kind of thing. So I can’t say the date of the project, but I can say that it’s super dope”.
