The Bear Club Music Group pair return with their latest Valentine’s Day offering.
After taking a year off, FACT mixer P. Morris and Brooklyn dreamweaver Sweater Beats have returned with the fourth entry in their Young Love/Heartbreak series.
The free two-tracker finds both producers exploring the titular theme with a pair of particularly cinematic electronic jams. Sweater Beats borrows a few samples from Beyoncé’s ‘Party’ and turns them into a maximalist soundtrack for the climax of a YA teen romance. On ‘Moving / On’, Morris delivers a two-part suite: a string-swept score gives way to a screwed-down beat that is as viscous and glistening as liquid metal (it looks like he’s taking those collaborations with composers Chilly Gonzales and Mocky to heart).

Morris fans in Los Angeles, the Fade to Mind associate is hosting Morris Makes: A Live Experiment on February 15 and 22, which is billed as a “night of live experiments, featuring friends and special guests.” Sweater Beats begins his headlining North American tour this month and will support Chance the Rapper at Webster Hall on February 24.
