Constantly evolving electronic innovator Prefuse 73 is back.
Earlier this year Guillermo S. Herren announced his return after a four-year absence with a new LP – Rivington Não Rio – and two EPs. The first taster of that bounty of new material was the choppy ‘Infrared’ featuring vocals from Sam Dew, and now we’ve got a chance to hear more of Herren’s new material.
FACT has been given the opportunity to share exclusive non-album, non-EP single ‘Storms Over Raqqa’, a loose banger that finds Herren adding his unmistakable glitch-heavy production trickery to the dancehall framework. It’s a bizarre and brilliant direction for the veteran producer, and you can stream the entire thing below.
Rivington Não Rio will be released on Temporary Residence Ltd on May 12, and you can pre-order the album from iTunes now.
