Eluvium and Explosion In The Sky’s Mark T. Smith’s collaborative project gets transformed by The Field and James Leyland Kirby.

Last year Mark T. Smith of Explosions In The Sky teamed with Eluvium (Matthew Cooper) to form Inventions. The duo is back next month with the second album, Maze Of Woods and with it they’ll include a short remix EP. Now you can hear The Field and ambient master Leyland Kirby take their source materials in wildly different directions. First The Field flips ‘Peregrine’ into a hypnotic techno burner, while Kirby gives the angelic ‘Springworlds’ a ghostly, faded quality that brings to mind his work as The Caretaker.
