Ben Thomas has unveiled plans to launch his own imprint next month.
The versatile house producer will inaugurate the Brack label with a 12-inch of his own material. The record consists of three tracks that are said to be “darker” and “dirtier” than his typically polished output as BNJMN. The record is also the first time that Thomas has completely abandoned computer-based production.
Thomas’ decision to launch his own imprint comes after three EPs and two albums for the Rush Hour label. The UK producer has also delivered a handful of 12-inches on labels such as Delsin and Svetlana Industries since 2010.
Last month, Thomas teamed with Portland’s Best Available Technology for a joint LP on Astro:Dynamics.
