Tune-Yards put on a technicolour display at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s South Bank last night, with fans daubed in day glo paint to match.

Flanked by her songwriting partner Nate Brenner plus her drummer and backing singers, Merrill Garbus played songs from her 2011 breakthrough album whokill and last year’s phenomenal Nikki Nack – the record that saw her “start from scratch”, as she told FACT in a personal interview last year.

FACT’s Arianna Power was at the gig to capture the action.
