The Cyclist rides again.
After seducing us with the gauzy, melodic techno of Bones In Motion in 2013 and knocking us sideways with Flourish, one of FACT’s 50 Best Albums of 2014, Derry producer Andrew Morrison is back with his latest instalment of “tape throb”.
The Hot House EP finds Morrison in increasingly melodic mode, applying his signature analogue crunch to gloopy synths, gospel-tinged samples and plenty of spring-loaded bottom-end. It’s out on 12″ and digitally from Dublin label music/is/for/losers on April 6 before getting a cassette release in North America on 100% Silk.
