Two of Chicagos finest crews collide on collaborative EP.

Pitchfork reports that before he died, footwork legend DJ Rashad met with rapper Mic Terror to outline a plan for Live From Your Momma’s House, an EP of collaborations between the Teklife and Treated crews.

The EP is coming soon; for a taste of what to expect, listen to DJ Phil and Mic Terror’s ‘Free.99’ below. Mic Terror wrote all the lyrics on the EP, and Teklife regulars DJ Spinn, DJ Earl, Taso, DJ Taye, and DJ Gantman provided production.

“We created a new genre with this, I’m not sure what to call it yet but if hear somebody else do it just know they biting MY shit,” says the rapper. Along with Mic Terror, Treated includes Mano, Sulaiman and G.O.O.D Music signee Holt (who we interviewed at SXSW).
