The rapper has dropped a massive lawsuit against his record label.

Lil Wayne appears to have patched things up with his long-time mentor, Cash Money boss and “father” figure Birdman. The New Orleans native withdrew a $51 million lawsuit against the record label on April 6, suggesting that the pair have reached some sort of settlement. The case has been dismissed, although Wayne is able to re-file if he wishes.

Lil Wayne filed the lawsuit in January after claiming that he was being held “prisoner” at Cash Money. The label has so far refused to release Wayne’s long-awaited Tha Carter V album. Weezy then took a number of shots at Birdman on his Sorry 4 the Wait 2 mixtape.

Update: Industry insider Karen Civil tweets that the “Lil Wayne lawsuit has NOT been dropped just moved to New Orleans.” We’ll update with more information as we have it.
