R’n’b pin-up turned Fast & Furious star Tyrese is personally listening to all your demos for his next movie, Shame.
Well, so he says anyway. The film is presented by Tyrese’s label Voltron Recordz, and casts Tyrese in a “one-of-a-kind performance” as an “up-and-coming musician in 1968, on tour and with the means to climb the top of the charts. He’s got all the right moves and things to say, but a mean streak and nasty substance abusive personality.”
“Tyrese’s wife”, the press release continues, “is played by an award winning superstar singer and plays one of his back-up singers [in a Facebook promo video he mentions Jennifer Hudson, so we’re guessing this is her]. A woman, whose strength and experience keeps her grounded despite her husband’s shortcomings and infidelity. All of this makes for a very special musical that’s only missing one thing and that’s an original soundtrack”.
That’s where you come in. Tyrese claims he’ll listen to all demos for the soundtrack, and he’s looking for artists who sound like Billie Holiday and Sam Cooke (personal messages will be deleted, he also claims, so keep the love letters to yourself Cooly).
