Lee Gamble will launch his new label UIQ at London’s Cafe OTO on Friday May 8.
Lee Gamble has been putting his own twist on techno and jungle since 2006, but in recent years has found a wider audience through his albums on the PAN label (his Diversions/Dutch Tvashar Plumes brace finished high in our albums of 2012). This year, he’ll start his own label, with the first release coming from N1L.
The OTO night features a live audio-visual collaboration between Gamble and Dave Gaskarth, billed as “explor[ing] an abstract narrative where future, past and imaginary spaces are created”, a performance from the aforementioned N1L, and Japanese artist Yutaka Makino.
