It’s his first solo 12″ since 2012’s His He She & She EP.
Fans of kick drums rejoice – Blawan will return with his first solo record in three years next month, which will provide the debut release for his freshly launched TERNESC label.
Announcing the new imprint via Facebook, the producer also said TERNESC is “where I’ll be releasing most of my music now.” The label takes its name from a series of club nights the producer started at London’s Corsica Studios last year, and looks to see him indulge his love of gear patching – the four-track Warm Tonal Touch EP is described on SoundCloud as “modular music”.
Blawan’s last solo release was the His He She & She EP, released on Hinge Finger in 2012, but he’s been busy in the time since, collaborating extensively with Pariah on the Karenn project, with Surgeon as Trade and with fellow gearheads The Analogue Cops as Parassela.
There’s no word on what this means for the Works The Long Nights label he runs with Pariah, but you can preview the gritty sounds of Warm Tonal Touch EP below. It’s released on May 12, and Blawan promises a second 12″ soon after that. [via Juno Plus]
