The influential club night drops a handful of remixes.

As part of this year’s RBMA takeover of New York, Venus X and company have planned a massive GHE20G0TH1K party at the Brooklyn Bazaar, featuring Fade to Mind’s Total Freedom, MikeQ and Ma Nguzu, Divoli S’vere and bounce legend Sissy Nobby, in her first ever New York appearance.

In advance of the party, GHE20G0TH1K is releasing free remixes by their friends and family. For his part, False Witness offers ‘Buss Up (Safe Space)’, a club edit that blends Crystal Waters’ house favorite ‘100% Pure Love’, French Fries’ remix of Dr. Gonzo’s ‘Bust Em Up’ and police sirens.

As he explained in his FACT TV interview, his tracks have global inspiration and political intentions. “‘Buss up’ is a play on the original title of the track,” he explains. “It comes from ‘Buss up shot’, a type of roti in Trinidadian cuisine.” As for the subtitle, the juxtaposition of police sirens and Waters’ lyrics is pretty effective.
