The prolific producer has a mammoth first opus on the way.
After making his name with a string of beat tapes and production work for Kendrick Lamar and Joey Bada$$, Los Angeles beatmaker Knxwledge will release his debut album on Stones Throw next month.
He’s already made a home for himself on the West Coast label, working with MNDSGN and recently teaming up with Anderson Paak as NxWorries, who’ve got an album of their own coming out later this year. But for his first full length, Hud Dreems, Knxwledge has pieced together no fewer than 26 tracks of inventive instrumental hip-hop – that’s one for each year since his birth.
The first track to appear from the album is the short and sweet ‘Jstowee’. Stream it below and look out the for the album on May 5, followed by a double vinyl release complete with a full side of bonus material on June 30.
