The Brooklyn producer embraces analog sound to craft Shift Age.

Brooklyn’s The Great Void is Josh Ascalon, perhaps best known for his studio work with artists including Das Racist, Chairlift and Cities Aviv. Ascalon has been working on his new album Shift Age for Olde English Spelling Bee. Inspired by the ideas of futurism and trans-humanism, it’s a record where Ascalon refused to use any software-synths or digital sequencing. Now you can hear the result of all that work with ‘Time One’ which shows off The Great Void’s meticulously crafted synth-pop.

Listen to it below and look for Shift Age this summer.
