The Luther star gets his wish.

In an interview on Capital Xtra, Skepta teased plans for his ‘Shutdown’ remix. “A lot of people have asked to jump on the ‘Shutdown’ remix, I’m not gonna front,” he said. “But ’cause of quality control, we wanted to make it really big… It’s all about spreading the British sound and culture.”

To that end, he’s enlisted a global ambassador for British culture, actor-DJ-singer-rapper Idris Elba, who tweeted at Skepta to get on the remix, saying “I SHUT DOWN prime TV on the Regular.” Skepta also promised that “another big rapper” will appear on the remix — time will tell if he was able to secure Drake (who’s sampled on the track) or Kanye West (with whom he’s hit the studio).
