The based-goth outdoes himself on his new album.
Slug Christ just released his latest album, The Crucifixion of Rapper Extraordinaire, Slug Christ. The Awful Records talent is no stranger to conceptually-loaded, aesthetically on-point releases, but this might be his best work yet.
Described as “an ode to a forgotten self-sacrifice,” Crucifixion is loaded with warped takes on Awful-styled rap and R&B, along with ominous ambient pieces (‘Wanderer’ and ‘Crucifixion Day’, produced by “Jesus” and “Lucifer”, respectively). Plus, nearly the entire crew has come along for the twisted ride, with Father, Ethereal, KeithCharles Spacebar, RichPoSlim, GAHM, Lord Narf, Dexter Dukarus and Pyramid Quince featured.
“If you don’t fuck me, it’s probably because you’re stuck in 2k15, or 2k16, or whatever the fuck year it is,” Slugger explains on the intro to the queasy ‘Hokay Hokay Hokay’, “and I’m in the year 10 bajillion A.D., after the goddamn sun has exploded. So catch up, fuck boy.”
