The pop singer says Kanye thanked her at the recent Met Gala.

These days hearing a singer’s voice drastically altered through Autotune is pretty common, but back in 1998 when Cher did it on ‘Believe’ it was a completely alien thing for most pop music fans. Now it’s a calling card for some of the biggest pop stars around — including Kanye West, arguably the biggest pop star around.

According to a tweet from Cher, Kanye thanked her for paving the way for Autotune when they chatted at the Met Gala this week.

In other Kanye related news it looks like he many be getting his own TV show and his forthcoming album has been rechristened SWISH.
