The scruzz rock duo return.

Neil Hagerty and Jennifer Herrema operated as Royal Trux from 1987 to 2001 (briefly collaborating on Herrema’s last Black Bananas LP). Now, the band has announced a reunion show: the Berserktown II festival in Los Angeles on August 16.

Drag City tells Pitchfork that the reunion will happen “for at least one Earth night,” but is otherwise cryptic:”And beyond that? Man, the future is UNKNOWABLE – but there’s a few things that we’ve never minded envisioning. And they’re always Royal Trux.”

In 2012, FACT interviewed Herrema about Royal Trux’s 1998 masterpiece, Accelerator.
