King-of-kings Tom Waits played a new song for David Letterman last night.

Ahead of the Late Show presenter’s retirement this month, Waits debuted a fitting number titled ‘Take One Last Look’. It’s not clear if the song was written for the occasion or if it will appear on a future release from the singer, whose last album came out in 2011.

Waits also gave a very watchable interview (with George Clooney joining in), talking about New Yorkers queueing up for salad and designing an anti-perspirant that smells like a new car. [via NME]
