Classic video game tune gets a synth-laden cover.
Video game and synth nerd Steven Morris has uploaded a multi-instrument performance of ‘Surface of SR3888’, one of the theme tunes in the Metroid II: Return of Samus video game. The game was originally released for Gameboy in 1991, with the music composed by Ryohji Yoshitomi.
Morris uses a number of instruments for his performance including Mopho, Korg MS2000 and Tempest synthesizers, a EuroRack modular synth and a Fender Stratocaster. Watch a video of the performance below.
