Todd Terje has unveiled a remix EP for It’s Album Time.
Norwegian house producer Todd Terje released his debut full-length, It’s Album Time, in April of last year. Since then, Terje has delivered a handful of 12-inch album singles backed with remixes from Deetron and I:Cube, as well as an EP of It’s Album Time edits from New York edit specialist Justin Vandervolgen. The album has also been expanded into a full band live show.
Terje has announced an official remix EP to accompany the album, enlisting a pair of French veterans alongside New Yorker Eric ‘Dunks’ Duncan. The Rub N Tug man will be joined on the remix EP by Joakim and Parisian house veteran Pépé Bradock.
The label says “Our movie opens in the shady backstreets of Paris to the shuffle and ruffle of a dislocated Bradock beat. The French maestro flips the spangled Italo of ‘Inspector Norse’ into a deep and hypnotic house cut.” Bradock provides two remixes on the A-side (also remixing ‘Swing Star’), with Duncan and Joakim both taking on ‘Standbar’ on the flip.
It’s Remix Time will be released via Olsen Records on July 10. As Stereogum points out, you can check out previews of all the tracks on Deejay.
Pépé Bradock’s 1999 house classic ‘Deep Burnt’ will receive a reissue next month. [via RA]
