Update: Jeremih tells Vibe that despite it looking “pretty realistic,” July 17 is not the release date — it’s just his birthday. However, he says, “I definitely want to drop it in the summertime before I hop on J. Cole’s Forest Hills Drive Tour with Big Sean and YG.”
The long-delayed album is due later this summer.
Jeremih’s Late Nights With… mixtape is now almost three years old, but it looks like we might finally have a release date for the follow-up album – July 17. We’d brace yourselves for disappointment though, as last year it looked as if Late Nights: The Album would be arriving on November 10.
Last year the singer attributed the album’s delay to mixing, mastering and issues with clearing guests and samples, as well as personal matters including a custody battle over his infant son. Excitingly, he also described the album as “clatchet” – short for “classy ratchet”.
If you can’t wait until July, Jeremih released a mixtape containing songs that didn’t make it on to the album last year. [via Complex]
