Rewind Records has been relaunched after laying dormant for over a decade.

The first Rewind release since 2004 will come via former Rephlex regular Jodey Kendrick under the alias Lord Of The D. His Dunstable Trax EP collects four cuts of rough and ready jungle and will hit shelves some time next month.

The Detroit-based label was founded by Motor City lynchpins Todd Osborn and Tadd Mullinix (aka Dabrye) in 1998. Osborn opened the city’s first drum and bass record store and produced for the label under the name Soundmurderer alongside Mullinix (as SK-1). The pair delivered a heavy stream of jump-up style jungle records in the late 90s and early 2000s, with a compilation of Soundmurderer and SK-1 material arriving on Rephlex in 2003.

Jodey Kendrick is perhaps best known for his releases on the Rephlex label, which was co-founded by Aphex Twin back in 1991. Kendrick has also released music under aliases such as Alain Kepler, +10 and Black Narcissus, to name just a few.

Lord Of The D’s Dunstable Trax will be released via Rewind Records in July. You can hear previews over at FIT Distribution. [via RA]
